Born to Jennifer and Keith Hanselman of Cuyahoga Falls at 28 1/2 weeks, none of their six babies weighed even 3 pounds.
The six pack were delivered via Caesarean section at 28 ½ weeks, weighing between 1.9 and 2.10 pounds, now just prior to their third birthday, 2007, they tip the scale between 21 ½ pounds (Sophia) and 27 pounds (Logan).
The babies:
1. Lucy Arlene, 2 pounds, 1 ounce
2. Isabella Jean, 2 pounds, 10 ounces
3. Logan James, 2 pounds, 8 ounces
4. Alex Edwin, 2 pounds, 8 ounces
5. Kyle Allen, 2 pounds, 6 ounces
6. Sophia Ivy, 1 pound, 9 ounces
The babies spent several weeks in the NICU at Akron Children's Hospital after being born around 9:42 am, Feb. 26, 2004.
Jennifer wrote Party Of Nine in which she details life raising sextuplets and is currently hard at work on a second Party of Nine book. She also writes her popular Party of Nine column for the Akron Beacon Journal.
